Hello, and welcome to my site. My name is Tracie Hoying and I am a
entrepreneur of sorts. I am currently the assistant editor of advertising for
the Jersey Journal, the official publication for the American Jersey Cattle
Association. I also do design work privately through my advertising
business, Created by Tracie Designs. The horses, I guess you could say,
are my secondary career or professional hobby.
My passion and desires to learn about horses started very early in life
and it continues to be a major drive for me today. I started riding around
10 and started showing the Quarter Horse Circuit when I was 17.
In 2002, I graduated from the Ohio State University with a B.S. Degree in
Agricultural Communications, with a design emphasis and a minor in
Equine Science. After college I moved to California and worked for Dana
Hokana, a very successful Western Pleasure trainer, for two and half
years.
I recently married a wonderful man (Jake Hoying) and now live in western
Ohio. He is understanding of my horse habit and we are now proud
owners of a APHA two-year-old, named Skippy. I really enjoy starting
young ones under saddle it's a very rewarding experience for me. It's a
great sense of accomplishment when you can take something unbroke
and turn it into a show horse.
I was accepted into the Ohio 4-H horse judging program last year. My
rates are extremely reasonable. If you are looking for a judge for your 4-H
or open shows give me a call. I love evaluating horses and working with
youth.
Family and Friends
I know that I am not always the best at keeping in touch . . . But I hope
that this portion of my website will let you know what I've been up to and
what has been going on in my life.
Wow, I can't believe Jake and I just celebrated our year anniversary. Boy
does time fly. It was a great summer with judging and showing and work it
went by so quickly.
Just two weeks until the big race. My sisters and I are running the
Columbus half marathon. I need to go out and run 10 miles today. Doesn't
that sound fun! 10/5/2008
